This blog includes both personal writing from 2014-2019 and reposts of articles I wrote and published elsewhere from 2002-2013. My more recent writing is now on Substack.

I am the Communications Director for the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UE). The usual disclaimers apply: all views expressed on this blog are my own, etc. etc. I took this position in August of 2017; prior to that I was a rank-and-file member of UE for most of my adult life.

From May 2017 through March 2018 I co-hosted a podcast about working-class politics, The Smash Up Derby.

I was very involved with the Vermont Workers’ Center for most of the time I lived in Vermont (1998-2017). I founded and was a member of a worker co-op called Webskillet for three years.

I have also built some web tools for organizing, both while I was at Webskillet and as an independent contractor.
